Arizona death metal practitioners WYRMHAVEN will unleash their savage debut full-length, Seasons Of Gloom, on May 29th.

 

Seasons Of Gloom is a perfect mix of Fry & False Cord screams, Gutturals and melodic metal. Not necessarily metalcore, not necessarily death metal, but some amalgamation of both. A genre made entirely for Wyrmhaven.

 

There’s a lot of poetry in their songs. That may be intentional or simply my interpretation of what they’re giving us. The struggles of living in an imperfect society. They also write from various perspectives and that shows as the album goes on.

 

Lifeless Oceans is a standout track in my opinion. The music holds a sadness. The lyrics are heavy and impactful. I enjoy the levels of the vocals. I’m a sucker for good vocals. The performance in this song is just perfection.

 

Give them some attention!
