I was intrigued when the description of this band said Doom/Pagan Metal. Obviously, I’m down. Then reading that this is a one-man band? Insanity. How this band has escaped me, since Runemagick has been around since the late 90s is beyond me.

 

The music is a beautiful blend of Doom and death. A balance that we often see in life. The flow of this album feels like blending those emotions as well. A feeling of doom and death. Each song plays into the next so smoothly that it feels like one long, almost cinematic, experience.

 

The themes here definitely play out as the music continues. Each beat, riff, drum helps tell the story of isolation and a journey into oneself. The lyrics are a dark poem, luring you to listen.

 

Honestly, this is such an easy album to put on and get lost in.
