Midnight Prey Jenseitsritt Review
Midnight Prey

After what seems to be a very difficult journey, Midnight Prey is back with their latest album. This is their long-awaited second album that proves that no matter what, they can come together and make wonderful music.
With heavy roots in 70s & 80s metal, the album delivers on a lot of fronts. The music is technical, but not over the top. Its fault is musicality while remaining focused in the groove. Lyrically and vocally, it’s raw. It’s almost the rawness you’d get from punk music but applied to a heavier tone.
Witch King is a standout track for me. It’s wonderfully mixed and beautifully sung.Reading the lyrics made me think of trying to build confidence within yourself but there’s a darkness almost tearing you down. It shows this in the vocal performance as well.
Definitely recommend.
