This Italian trio are delivering a psychedelic post punk extravaganza with their self titled album. Heavy bass lines, gritty vocals, and out of this world mechanics push this band over the top.

 

The sonic assault starts from track one and doesn’t let up. It catches you, sits you down and makes you listen. Each song is powerful. I’m almost gobsmacked and at a loss of words because this is…. you know how the word awesome means to be in awe? Well, this is awesome in its original context. I found myself lost in the bass lines and over all symphonic structures.

 

The album had this…galactic middle bit, where the songs seem like something you could be beamed up to. Dopamine and s.w.a.n are perfectly placed in the middle, but towards the end of this epic. And they are my two stand out tracks on this album. Hijss hit a lot of nails on the head. Be it flawless musical execution or the powerhouse of vocals.

 

This band needs more listeners. They deserve it.
