Dry Wedding, hailing from Portland Oregon, are delivering their third album The Back Of Beyond. A bluesy, gothic, doom combo guaranteed to make an impact.

 

I’m kinda shocked I’ve not heard of them before given that I listen to everything. Honestly, the vibe caught me immediately. This is southern blues inspired but also very gothic and doomy/sludgey, it pulled me in immediately. The music is perfection. The vocals are nostalgic. They gave me almost Jim Morrison vibes. It gave me the perfect package.

 

Lyrically it’s a fantastic ride too. Honestly, the first track Arrowhead stuck to me. Maybe it’s because it surprised me. But it’s such a good song. This felt like their most “western” song or country song to me. It was such a strong start to a fantastic album.
