Oslo based TRUEANDTRUE dropped their debut album in May of this year. They did drop ‘blood in the seams’ as a single in advance of their album. But, diving into NOSEDIVE is a wild ride of music.

 

The best way I can explain the band is they are an assault on the sense. That sounds negative but I mean it in the most positive way possible. It’s a rhythmic noise explosion and exploration of emotion. It reminds me a lot of At the Drive In.

 

If punk music had a hyper pop genre, TRUEANDTRUE would fit there. It’s this bizarre genre that on the surface doesn’t make sense but man oh man listening to it makes it click.

 

I bet this band is so fun live. The vibe I’m getting is like a chaotic maelstrom of energy and likely two stepping.

 

I definitely dig it.
