I love when music gives me emotional and music whiplash. That’s exactly what The Amity Affliction provides.

 

Hailing from Australia, this band provides hand throwing, ass shaking, head banging, emotionally charged music. This is my first listen to them and I’m floored. Absolutely floored. They sit in the same realm as The Browning.

 

We open with heavy growls, gutturals and heart break. And trust me when I say I was uniquely surprised when I heard the vocals come through. It was so unexpected but delightful. Then, stand out track, Bleed hits and holy shittake mushrooms! The breakdown caused me to mean mug.

 

Genuinely what a surprise for me this fine morning to dive into. Please, give them a listen. You won’t be disappointed.
