Dallas (TX) - Progressive Death Metal duo, Sallow Moth, will release new album, Hydrophilous Brood July 24 on Willowtip Records!

 

Okay, so my honest to Gods first reaction was….this album is clearly in the Yautja language. If you’re unaware what that is, Yautja’s are the creatures from the Predator movies. I only thought this because of just how low the gutturals come in. They’re brutally low. Honestly, it’s impressive.

 

Also know that this is a duo makes the music that they’re putting out all that more impressive. Yes, it’s this hardcore, death metal vibe, but there’s still a technicality to the music being made. It’s not all blast beats and St. Anger Snare hits. There’s almost a melodic droning to the sound.

 

My only con is I wish I could’ve understood the lyrics to get the message they’re trying to portray. This is a concept album set on an alien planet. The songs talk about the organisms living there. I wish I could’ve heard that.
