Okay, so…before jumping into this I need to fan girl for a min. I have loved Motionless since I first heard them. Metalcore has a special place in my heart and when I first heard MiW I was hooked. So, slightly biased review ahead.

 

For about twenty years Motionless In White has graced the stages worldwide, radios and even wrestling rinks. Notably providing an entrance song for Rhea Ripley. Now they are delivering Decades, their latest album. And it delivers.

 

If you’ve ever heard Chris sing or scream you know he treats his vocals like any good musician should; with intent, care and precision. The music and mix are top notch quality. And the small dance breaks? Who doesn’t love it?

 

I loved the song with Corey Taylor as the drums on it immediately made me think of Joey and Old Slipknot. But I think my favorite is Blood Rave. I was instantly transported back to the first time I saw Blade and saw the vampires in the blood rave. This would be an absolute banger to play while blood pours down! It will get heavy replay from me. Also, they do a wicked cover of Sunglasses at Night. It holds true to the original while giving it a breath of fresh air.

 

I don’t know about you, but I am GIDDY about this album! They are currently touring as I am writing this. I encourage everyone to go see them! They’re for sure another added to the “would love to photograph” category!
