Rio de Janeiro band, Loneshore, comes to us with their second full length album Nothing Left to Deconstruct. A powerful, melodic, and sometimes screaming view of life and the world around us. At least, that’s the vibe I got from it.
Generally, bands come to me with ‘for fans of’ statements so that I sorta know what I’m getting into. While I agree they have essence of The Ocean, I believe that Loneshore stands on their own.
The music is much like a river. Peacefully droning but has moments of rapids and harshness. Loneshore delivers that to us. This beautiful almost lullaby with occasional gutturals fit for black metal.
Vocally and lyrically the band stands out. I can’t quite put my finger on why it’s so fantastic but it truly is. I found myself inspired by the music, wanting to immediately start painting the feelings the performance was pulling from me.
I would absolutely recommend the band and this album to anyone with ears or hearing ability.
