HOLISSSTIK

Chapter 1: This Endless Solitude

Season of Mist

2026

Holissstik, a Norwegian experimental project, is delivering their first album. Chapter 1: The Endless Solitude is a wonderfully crafted moody bit of art. Delivered via haunting vocals, dance beats and a certain magic that pulls you in.

I grew up listening to bands like this - Depeche Mode is one that comes to mind. Holissstik are giving us a fresh perspective on the genre. Ebbing from layered vocals, both male and female. The surprising part? This is a one-man band featuring incredible talents from other musicians but spawning from the mind of Tor-Helge Skei.

Creating the atmosphere and letting other musicians into that space, to embrace the dark, to give a light to the voiceless? That’s a beautiful collaboration, if ever. Each additional musician on the varying tracks makes it seem bigger than what it may have been. Collaborating on a high level. It gives the listener a haunting but beautiful album to listen to. It also makes it equally hard to pick a standout. It’s like picking a favorite child. It can’t be done.

So, I invite you to come sit in solitude and listen to the wonderful sounds it can make.
