Oslo-based Exploding Head Syndrome are set to release their new album Deathbeds on May 8. The release marks a band sharpening its identity, both musically and thematically.

This album is so much fun to listen to. From start to finish. It has a nostalgic post hardcore punk vibe. Plenty of room to two step, head bang, and sing along to. A nonstop whirlwind of political outrage, societal pressure and just full-on punk aesthetic.

Exploding Head Syndrome has been around for a hot minute. This album is years of hard work, fine tuning and attention to detail. Which…if you’ve paid attention to the state of the world, there’s a clear understanding for this evolution.

It’s hard to pick a standout song or track when so many feel relatable. So, I suppose, put on your headphones, strap on your stompy boots and feel the feels this album gives.
