Ethereal Rot Self-Titled Review
Ethereal Rot

New England’s music scene is incredibly diverse. You have everything from death rock, hip hop, mosh pit love songs, and now Ethereal Rot. They are debuting their first LP on July 17th.
I’m pretty familiar with the New England Music Scene as I was incredibly immersed in it when I lived there. I know just how much it’s thriving and it’s awesome to see such a heavy act coming out of the area.
Ethereal Rot seems to be a fitting name for the band. The music is heavy and technically driven. The vocals are beyond heavy. Between the lowest of gutturals to these goblin fry screams the ebb and flow is just insane. I will admit that I giggled to myself while listening to them simply because I was in awe. There’s such technical ability to do those vocals. Even if this genre isn’t your jam, you can appreciate the absolute hard work that all of the musicians do.
I think my only gripe is I wish I could understand the lyrics more. Just a touch. But that could also be my old ears going out on me.
Either way, I’m very excited to see what comes next for this band.
