Swedish gothic doom entity DRACONIAN is finally back! Their new studio album, In Somnolent Ruin, will creep its way from the artist’s spirit into the light of day on May 8, 2026, via Napalm Records.

 

This is such a beautiful album. From start to finish it’s a gothic melodic death metal lullaby. The two vocals of this very feminine energy to the growls of masculinity. It’s a work of art. They compliment each other so well.

 

I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but truly In Somnolent Ruin felt like this heavy, raw, and heartbreaking monument. It’s so hard to pick a favorite from this. It’s all beautiful.

 

The vocals are amazing and heartfelt. The music is this entrancing pull of heavy yet sad riffs. This album is perfect to cry to. The emotions here, if you pay attention, will make you weep.

 

I definitely recommend!
