August Burns Red dropped their latest album as of June this year. I won’t lie, I’m pretty sure I’ve been listening to August Burns Red for a decade or longer, so getting to listen to this was pretty awesome.

This is their tenth full length album, which is such an impressive feat. To push forward, evolve, and still put out banger after banger is a testament to their bond as a band. The sound on this album is nostalgic however there’s a lot of growth with the flourishes we get. It makes it pretty special.

It’s heavy, in your face, and feels like a more collaborative effort from the band. The breakdowns make you want to break things; the gutturals are brutal. When the album is hype, it makes you want to break things. But it also has so much heart in the lyrics, which makes it very relatable.

Sonic Salvation is my favorite track. For me the song is almost one of unity within the Metal community. A coming together for the minds who may feel the same. It gives space for you to scream, headbang, and maybe even cry out those emotions.

It’s so damn solid.
