Crawling out of the darkness surrounding Indianapolis, The Secrecy are emerging as a goth post punk love song to those who linger in the night.

 

Oh, how this band caught me off guard, in the best way. But I also have a huge soft spot for this genre of music. This synth filled, lyrically driven, almost nostalgic music that I can sway to. This band fits in with The Birthday Massacre, Korine, Vision Video and more.

 

Genuinely I know it’s labeled post punk, but really, it’s a like a goth revival. It’s a beautifully haunting masterclass of its genre. The lyrics feel relatable all while the music is casting spells, enticing you to listen.

 

All I know is I gotta catch them live and maybe ask them loudly if I can take their photos.
