Portland, Oregon’s Shadowlands have officially released their fourth album, 004, a fully realized statement that sharpens and expands the band’s kaleidoscopic blend of impassioned post-punk, introspective darkwave, and ‘80s-inspired horror synth. From somber dreamscapes and spine-tingling arpeggios to riffs and rhythms that sear and soar, 004 captures a band operating with clarity, confidence, and emotional depth.

Goth rock has such a special place in my heart. I grew up basically dancing in graveyards. Reading a bit about them I was instantly hooked. The music is beautifully dark and synthy. Truly reminiscent of SwitchBlade Symphony.

R/AGE is a standout for me. Mood wise, lyrically, everything. It caught me in the feels. The whole album is a work of art. There’s just something about darkwave.

Obviously, I’m gonna recommend this. Slap on those stompy boots, black clothes and legs dance together!
