Gates Of Hell Records proudly presents Metallic Torments, the second full length album from French heavy/speed metal tyrants, Iron Slaught!

 

I have a compliment sandwich scenario here. So, let’s start with some positives! The first track opens as an instrumental, which made me believe that maybe the whole album was instrumental. It was an impressive showing of various beats and time changes accompanied by heavy riffs. Honestly, really solid.

 

The biggest con I have is that the album doesn’t feel like a cohesive stream of thoughts and music. Now this doesn’t mean it’s bad, I just feel as if the music is sorta everywhere. So, it makes the album feel disjointed. 

 

However, there may be listeners out there who see this as a positive. Showing range of their capabilities. It also means that each track stands out in its own way! It is truly an impressive work of speed metal.
