idle threat aims to dim the darkness and let the light in through the emotional and hopeful lyrics found in each song they meticulously craft.

How I’ve never heard of this Nashville based band is beyond me. They’re amazingly poetic and powerful. The album is full of heavy riffs, some screaming and heartfelt lyrics.

They have a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh. A perfect blend of the post punk and emo genres. I was trying to think of who they sound like, but it’s hard to compare. They sound like themselves and that’s a testament to the music.

If you feel like crying in the mosh pit, I’d say give them a spin.
