Self-proclaimed post-skramz outfit DREAMWELL will unleash their scorching Hymns For The Denial Of God full-length on August 28th via Prosthetic Records.

 

Reading their profile, I didn’t know what I was getting myself ready for. They’re a post punk, post screamo band. But that’s not even a solid explanation of the band. They’re raw unfiltered rage. Speaking out injustice and how religion can make one blind instead of opening one’s mind.

 

It’s a nonstop, wall to wall, explosion of sound. It hits you in the chest and keeps the onslaught going. The music is wonderfully technical and beautifully mixed. The lyrics are a no holding back assault of feelings. Surprisingly I love the slower track Apostates & Gentiles. I think there’s a beauty in almost whispering the emotions out. Another phenomenal song is I dreamt I Survived an Extinction Event. Because…ow, those feelings hit hard.
